Founder and Managing Partner
Cycle Capital
Andrée-Lise Méthot, ing. MSc. O.Q.Founder and Managing Partner |
Humanity will need a revolution of the industrial revolution's scale with the speed of the digital revolution to confront the devastating changes brought about by the climate crisis. To do this, we need courageous leaders to confront the crisis of apathy and individualism. Creating a paradigm shift within our businesses and organizations requires stubborn optimism to set us on the path to a regenerative future. We need to give ourselves the right to make mistakes but surely not the right to do nothing.
Andrée-Lise Méthot is the Founder and Managing Partner of Cycle Capital. She has more than 25 years of experience in venture capital, management and engineering. She founded Cycle Capital, an impact fund manager, which is the largest private investment platform in climate technologies in Canada, including the 6 funds and the Cycle Momentum accelerator.
In addition to serving on the portfolio companies’ Boards of Directors, Andrée-Lise is on the Board of Directors for the Montreal Heart Institute, the Pointe-à-Callière museum, and the Canadian Infrastructure Bank. She is the Founder and former Chairperson of Cycle Momentum, Co-Founder of Switch ─ the Alliance for a Green Economy, and Ecotech Québec ─ the industrial cluster of clean technologies. She is a former member of the Laval University Board of Directors, the Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) Board of Directors, and a former member of the Société Québécoise des infrastructures (SQI) Board of Directors. She is a member of the advisory board for Paris Green Fund, the Canadian Government’s Task Force on Women in the Economy, and the ambassador in clean technologies for Investissement Québec.
Andrée-Lise has been named Officière de l’Ordre du Québec (2018) and received numerous honors, such as the 2019 Grand Prix d'excellence from the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, and the “Summa Carrière” prize from the Laval University Faculty of Science and Engineering (2021). She has a master’s degree in science from the University of Montreal, and a bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering from the Laval University. She also studied physics of the atmosphere and climate science, and she recently received the Trailblazer Honor offered by With Intelligence Women’s Private Capital Summit Canada in early October of this year.
